Literary and Movie Rights

Nicholas Comfort is the sole heir and literary executor of his father, Dr Alex Comfort (1920-2000).

As such, he holds the US – though not the global – movie rights to The Joy of Sex and More Joy of Sex. The rest-of-world rights are held by Paramount Pictures. Publishing copyright for The Joy of Sex is held by Octopus Books.

He also holds all the rights to over 40 other books by Alex Comfort including Sex In Society, The Process of Ageing, The Anxiety Makers, The Biology of Senescence, Darwin and the Naked Lady, Nature and Human Nature, Reality and Empathy, The Power House and Tetrarch.

He is currently seeking a publisher for Alex Comfort’s Collected Poems, combining the several volumes of verse published in his lifetime with the best of his unpublished material.
